Although in the 2010 season Mercedes took part in the Formula 1 races with their own team, the engine supply contract with McLaren remained in place. Therefore in 2010 also, the silver/red MP4-25 is powered by a 780 bhp Mercedes-Benz 8-cylinder engine. The completely redesigned car is conspicuous for its rear double diffuser, a long fin extending to the rear wing and an unusual overall length of 4.8 m.
