Aircraft Background Information
Since 10th December 2008 one of the 44 TUIfly holiday jets has been wearing an attractive special livery in the exclusive gold bear design and acting as a "flying ambassador for the HARIBO company. The "Gold bAIR", which is particularly popular with children, can accommodate 189 passengers and is used on the regular TUIfly route network. The TUIfly fleet currently has 44 Boeing aircraft flying to over 70 destinations in Europe and North Africa. The Boeing 737-800, that has been built since 1998, is a variant of the Boeing 737, one of the most successful and safe passenger aircraft in the world. With 190 seats theB737-800 has more places that its predecessor (-400); it has a 10% longer range, flies 10% faster and therefore saves 10% of kerosene. The recent modifications made to the new Boeing 737s are large winglets (angled wing tips) which enable afaster climb and save even more fuel.
